| Subject: Fall Out Boy Postpone Antartica Performance Tue Mar 25, 2008 11:20 pm | |
| Fall Out Boy have been forced to postpone their trip to Antarctica, which was due to take place today (March 25). Bad weather on the continent has seen all flights canceled, which means the band's record-breaking attempt has been put off. The may however, get to travel to the remote continent tomorrow, if flights can be arranged on time. "We were sort of aware that this might happen, but, to be honest, we're just hoping some other band doesn't slip in by boat or something and set the world record right under our noses," Patrick Stump told MTV.COM. Pete Wentz was hoping to meet some penguins, telling the website. "But I also heard that you can, like, get a photo taken with your arm around a penguin, like frat-boy style, which would be hilarious." As previously reported, the band were scheduled to make the trip with Greenpeace to perform on a scientific colony and had arranged for a certified recorder from the Guinness Book Of World Records to witness the gig. | |
